'Marcus' is a dwarf perennial variety salvia with deep violet flower spikes that exhibits a very long bloom time. Typically only grows to 8-10" in the Midwest. Foliage is blue-green with pleasing texture.

'Marcus' was discovered growing as a naturally occuring mutation of S. 'Osfriesland' in Germany in 1998. 'Marcus' was patented under the cultivar name of 'Haeumanarc' but the Royal Horticultural Society lists it as 'Marcus'.
If deadheaded after bloom they will quickly bounce back with more flowers. Very drought tolerant once established. Consider the unpleasant foliage scent of this plant when situating.
