Very large, 2.5" tubular, bell-shaped lavender-blue flowers on this continuous bloomer. Very dependable, vigorous yet not invasive. Serrated deep green leaves and tall strong stems to hold the magnificent flowers. Foliage is compact and dense. Perfect for borders, butterfly, hummingbird, cutting gardens and mass plantings.

This 'Viking' does not spread by rhizomes and the seeds are sterile, therefore this will behave politely. New rosettes develop at base of plant in fall, new stems grow from these rosettes in spring. Deadhead spent flowers but plant itself should be left as is in fall.
