Small white, bell-shaped fragrant flowers dangle from arched, burgundy stems. Striking foliage of green with clean, thin white margins. Leaves age to yellow in autumn. Blooms are followed by dark blue fruits. PERENNIAL PLANT OF THE YEAR 2013
Places well in a woodland garden, naturalized areas or wild gardens. Prefers partially shaded to well shaded areas. Grows easy in well-drained, moist, humusy soil. This spreads slowly, but very reliable once established.
